decentralised heat recovery ventilation

Prana dMVHR systems capture up to 98% of indoor heat, cutting energy bills and supporting sustainability. Future Gaff, PRANA’s exclusive Irish distributor, provides expert local support for homes and businesses.

Prana dMVHR — Heat Recovery Ventilation System

Through patented copper heat exchanger technology, PRANA units capture up to 98% of indoor heat that would otherwise be lost during ventilation. This thermal efficiency delivers measurable reductions in energy bills while supporting environmental sustainability goals.

What sets PRANA apart is vertical integration. The company operates its own production facilities alongside specialized climate testing laboratories and engineering teams. By controlling each step from initial design through manufacturing, PRANA maintains consistent quality standards and can rapidly implement design improvements based on real-world performance data.

Future Gaff Limited is PRANA’s exclusive distributor in Ireland, offering local support and expert advice for both homes and businesses.

Decentralised Heat Recovery Ventilation (dMVHR)

The system works by extracting stale, humid air out of your home and using it to warm up the fresh air coming in. As this happens, the incoming air naturally becomes drier and warmer before it enters your rooms.
PRANA units run on standard household electricity (200V, 50Hz) and use between 4–91 watts depending on the fan speed you choose. That’s roughly the same as a LED light bulb on low settings.

How Demand Controlled Ventilation Saves Money

Opening windows for fresh air wastes a lot of energy. In winter, you lose over 30% of your heating. In summer, hot air rushes in, and your air conditioning works up to 80% harder.

PRANA’s copper heat exchanger captures most of this wasted energy — up to 96% of it. The warm air leaving your house heats up the cold air coming in, so you get fresh air at room temperature without running your heating or cooling system extra.
If you open the unit’s cover while it’s turned off, air will still move through it naturally. How much depends on wind, other vents in your house, and the season.

How does PRANA heat recovery ventilation system work?
PRANA dMVHR uses synchronized technology to efficiently move air. It pulls in fresh air and pushes out stale air simultaneously within a special copper heat exchanger. The magic is that these two airflows never mix — they travel through separate channels. This means you get super clean, fresh air coming in, while we efficiently capture heat from the outgoing air. It's all about maintaining top-notch indoor air quality and saving energy!
Can Prana mvhr replace my heating system?
No, not really. Your PRANA efficient heat recovery system is a great complement to your heating system, but not a replacement. It's designed to efficiently keep your home filled with fresh air. However, your heating system is specifically designed to warm your space. While the recuperator helps maintain comfortable temperatures by recovering heat, it shouldn't be your only heat source.
How does Prana handle winter?
No worries about the cold! For optimal performance and safety during the winter months, simply activate the "Winter Mode" and "Mini-Heating" features. Once set up, your PRANA system will work efficiently in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +50°C.
Advanced, energy-efficient heat recovery systems are designed to optimize indoor air quality and prevent moisture buildup and mould growth.
